Pin Payments is a payments processor that allows Australian businesses to accept payments online. No merchant account is required, businesses get paid directly into their bank account.
Silver Siphon allows you to set Pin Payments as your gateway, and import all transaction data into Xero as a bank feed. It’s almost exactly the same as our Stripe integration. Once you are set up, it will sync everything over and you should never even have to log into the application again.
This post shows how Stripe work as a bank feed, but this is much the same with Pin Payments.
Incredibly Simple Setup
1
Import Data From Pin Payments
Silver Siphon periodically checks Pin Payments for new data. It is then queued up for the next Xero syncronization.
2
Crunching
Silver Siphon crunches the data into a format that Xero understands. You can also roll up Pin fees into a single line item to make it easier to reconcile.
3
Xero Integration
Once a day, your Pin transactions are packaged up and appear in Xero, just like an actual bank account. This allows bank rules and easy reconciliation.
How To Set Up Pin Payments
The below video demonstrates Stripe setup. The only difference is instead of clicking the “Connect To Stripe” button, you click the Pin button, and enter the credentials found inside Pin.
These can be found on the menu in your Pin dashboard. Make sure you grab the “Live” keys (not Test).
