Spoiler alert: It’s really simple, so this is going to be a very short read.
Silver Siphon simply sits in between Stripe and Xero, automatically synchronizing one to the other. Once you’ve linked both ends, Silver Siphon does all the heavy lifting and ideally you would never have to log into the interface again. Stripe charges/transactions, fees, transfers and refunds will all simply appear in the Xero bank account of your choosing.
Read the post here about what Stripe looks like as a bank feed in Xero.
1
Import Data From Stripe
Every time a transaction happens in Stripe, it will appear in Silver Siphon and wait for the next Xero syncronization.
2
Crunching
Silver Siphon crunches the data into a format that Xero understands. You can also roll up Stripe fees into a single line item to make it easier to reconcile.
3
Xero Integration
Once a day, your data is packaged up and magically appears in Xero in an actual bank account, ready for bank rules and easy reconciliation.
